Since there's no possibility to select manually preferred seat and it will be assigned by the system automatically/randomly, I would like to take another seat if it's not occupied/reserved by somebody else.

You can select seats if buying from ticket office, but not online.

I feel sorry, but I do not have access to ticket office right now. I usually buy tickets via Bahn app.
