ICE 9590 to Paris: Are the seat reservation displays active? (Allgemeines Forum)

Hey what's up fellas,

Planning a ride from Berlin to Frankfurt(Main)Sud on ICE 9590 Berlin-Paris. I have a couple questions:
1) Are the seat reservation displays active on this train? Since there's no possibility to select manually preferred seat and it will be assigned by the system automatically/randomly, I would like to take another seat if it's not occupied/reserved by somebody else. However I've seen a couple videos on Youtube from launching this train, and it seems that all the seat reservation displays are actually disabled, - which is an issue for me. I would like to avoid occupying somebody else's seat.
2) How's the demand for this train goes on my route? Is it Low, Medium or High demand? Is that possible to take a seat wherever I want or zero chances? I'll be traveling in 2nd Class.

1) Reservation normally are displayed… there was a problem displaying the reservation for a period when the reservation system went from DB to SNCF
2) very high demand til overbooked (in Germany)
3) check-in is not available
