@Daniel: name "railjet" / @all: use in license? (Allgemeines Forum)

Hello,

I hope the 16 railjet for ČD. Yes 2-h takt Wien - Praha - Berlin - Hamburg is super idea. Czech pendolino can will go to Bratsilava and Ostrava.

The railjet should be excellent in first class, but not so good in second (this is said the most here).
However, it has a business class, which other Czech trains probably do not offer.

And Can ČD use railjet name? and RJ, or CD will must new logo and name for example SC "Vergio".

As far as I know, "railjet" is an registered ÖBB trademark.
However, "ICE International" is also a registered DB trademark, but NS Hispeed probably uses it in license (because ICE International is part of a shared DB/NS enterprise).
There are also Danish and Austrian ICEs.

So it could be possible that ÖBB and ČD create a new company for the Vienna-Prague services, and as such, ČD is able to use the name "railjet" in license.

gruß,

Oscar (NL)
