deine Headline irritiert mich ein wenig, da es im Eurostar bisher zwei erste Klassen gibt und die Business Premier unverändert bleibt.

Sorry für die Verwirrung. Ich meinte natürlich rein "Hardware" also Waggon- und sitzorientiert. In der Praxis hat Business Premier eine Vorausreservierungsmöglichkeit für spezielle Sitzwünsche, so dass die Waggons nacheinander und getrennt zwischen Business Premier und Leisure select belegt werden. Ob es dabei einen gemeinsamen "Schnittpunkt"-Wagen gibt, kann ich nicht sagen, einfach weil ich es nicht weiss und das nicht unbedingt meine Route ist.

Bereits enige Tage später wurde ein Upgrade für die Leisure Select Klasse vorgestellt.

Mal sehen, was da raus kommt :-)

Ein Redesign ist tatsächlich für die nächsten Jahre geplant, der erste Zug soll vorraussichtlich 2012 fertiggestellt sein.

Bereits enige Tage später wurde ein Upgrade für die Leisure Select Klasse vorgestellt.

Die Frage ist dann wie die Übersetzung der DB Tickets erfolgt.

Nur wegen breiteren Sitz würde ich das Extra Geld nicht ausgeben wollen... Und der Imbiss klingt jetzt nicht so verlockend, das Essen im Leisure Select war schon was besonderes.

Es gibt die Prämie 1. Klasse International. Bei meiner letzten Nutzung entsprach das Leisure Select, auch das Europa-Spezial was ich 2 Monate später genutzt entsprach in der 1. Klasse "nur" Leisure Select.

Die neue "Standard Premier" soll die bisherige Buchungsklasse "Leisure Select" ersetzen. Laut dem Unternehmen soll die Buchungsklasse zwischen der vorhanden Standard und Business Premier positioniert werden.

Allerdings erscheint es mir eher nach einer Herabstufung der Leisure Select.

Die neuen Buchungsklassen kommen per 1. September zum tragen, der Ticketverkauf erfolgt ab heute, dem 5. Mai.

In der neuen Klasse wird es nurnoch eine "leichte Mahlzeit" sowie kostenlose Magazine geben. Außerdem sollen die (Vollpreis)Tickets, gegen eine Bearbeitungsgebühr in Höhe von 15% des Ticketwerts umtausch bzw. erstattbar sein.

Eurostar offers new class of service in response to changing needs of customers
Eurostar, the high-speed passenger train operator between the UK and France and Belgium has today announced an important change to its class of service range.

In response to the changing needs of customers, Eurostar is introducing Standard Premier – a ‘mid-class’ designed to appeal to not only the more cost-conscious business traveller, but also leisure travellers who want that little bit extra space and service.

Standard Premier tickets will go on sale next Wednesday (5 May) for travel from 1 September. The new class will replace Eurostar’s existing Leisure Select class, which has been on offer since 2005.

This change comes as a result of extensive customer feedback and market research and sees Eurostar’s class offerings move towards a more intuitive structure with Standard Premier perfectly complementing the existing Business Premier and Standard classes.

“With the introduction of Standard Premier, we now have a range of products that meets the differing needs of all our customers.”

Business Premier
Eurostar’s exclusive business class offers the highest level of freedom to work in dedicated, comfortable surroundings. Loyalty programmes
All Eurostar travellers can benefit from Eurostar’s loyalty programmes.
